FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BNL TALENTPALOOZA!

The Bedford North Lawrence High School is proud to announce the 2008 Talentpalooza at the BNL Performing Arts Center on Monday, September 15, at 7:00 PM. Admission is $5.00 at the door. The show will last approximately 90 minutes.

Talentpalooza is a showcase of talent from the BNL student body, produced by the BNL Department of Music and organized by Vocal Music Program Director, Brian Samarzea [sah-MAR-jah].

“The 2007 Talentpalooza was such a great success,” says Mr. Samarzea, “that we are expanding this year's program to include as many acts as we can and to include a new level of audience participation.”

Talentpalooza features performances from BNL musicians, garage bands, spoken word, comedy, and dance. The 2008 Talentpalooza will be hosted by BNL students who will have auditioned specifically for the role of Emcee. Featured acts will be determined by an audition process prior to the show.

BNL Students wishing to participate in the 2008 Talentpalooza should sign up with Mr. Samarzea in the Department of Music starting on Tuesday, September 2. Those who have signed up must be prepared to perform at an Audition Round on Wednesday, September 10 which will be open to the public and judged by BNL Faculty.

Admission for the September 15th show will be $5.00 at the door. As part of the admission, audience members may vote for the Audience Favorite performers. All proceeds will benefit the BNL Department of Music.

Students who wish to volunteer for ticket sales, usher, fan voting, and stage operations should contact Mr. Samarzea before September 10th.
