  BNI New Zealand's First Golf Tournament - Celebrating 10 Years of BNI in New Zealand
72 teed up for a day with lots of laughs, food and of course drink. The Ambrose format worked well with both golfers and non-golfers adding their own 'special shots' or 'non-shots' as the case may be. Graham Southwell, assisted by several lovely helpers were on the golf carts throughout the afternoon making sure that no-one collapsed from lack of fluids! 200+ sausages disappeared during the afternoon as well. Prizes were doled out to just about every team during a lovely meal and to cap a fabulous day over $1700 was raised in the Auction - meaning, thanks to BNI's generous support, we will be handing out $6000 to Hospice from the day!!! If you didn't make it this year then make a note to book for the next one as I am expecting it to be full after this years sussesses. Save the best 'til last though... our Sponsors were fantastic!!! Format - (Subject to Change)
Friday Friday's Tournament is the main BNI 10th Birthday Tournament and is open to all, golfers and non-golfers alike. There will be chapter prizes for teams of 3 or 4 from a chapter - and of course the 'Bragging Rights' that go along with winning.
Teams will be able to play together... it's not too late to get a team of clients and customers as well as Chapter members.
There will be a meal included in the cost and there will be a barbeque and drinks cart on the course.
We will also be working on getting some reduced prices on accommodation and on some of the activities in Rotorua, so that either families can have fun while you are golfing or you can stay and play in the weekend.
Saturday
Saturday's tournament is to allow club golfers with NZGA golf handicaps to play for the title of BNI Golf Champion! This will be a low key stableford tournament with a trophy for the winner and golf balls for other prizes. It will also allow golfers who couldn't make Friday to have a hit.
