Perito Moreno Glacier, Argentina Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the few advancing glaciers in the world. It's 2km long, up to 200ft high, give or take. It comes from the Patagonian ice field, the 3rd largest in the world after Antarctica and Greenland. It terminates in Lago Argenina, and in the wintertime, frequently closes off part of the lake as you can almost see here. It's one of the most spectacular sites I have seen, and I will be posting many pictures showing the intense blueness of the ice. This consists of 7 photos. College Fjord glaciers
Numerous glaciers end in College Fjord along the coast of Alaska. Harvard Glacier extends a distance of more than 20 miles (30 kilometers) to the distant peaks of the Coastal Range at the right.
