Hello Friends,
As many of us know, BMMPeoria celebrated Diwali 2009 with 'Abhangawani'.
This event was coordinated by Mr Dipesh Dimble and BMMPeoria appreciates and thanks Dipesh for extraordinary efforts and talent presented to make this even come alive. BMMPeoria came into existence in Diwali 2007. This year BMMP completed 2 years of successful presence. BMMP's committment toward Marathi culture and Marathi Language was reiterated at the Diwali 2009 program. The program started with 'Deep-Prajjwalan' with auspicious hands of Joshi Kaka (Father of Prasad Joshi). The various objectives and achievements of the BMMP were elaborated by Nikhil Kulkarni and then started the 'Abhangawani'. This year Nikhil Kulkarni delivered a nirupan on the 'Adwait to Darshan'. All the eight songs were arranged in a specific order and special emphasis was given on 'Tukaram Gatha' to elaborate the various concepts like Adwait, Vedh, Buddhi, Tarka, Anubhav and Darshan. The first song was the prayer to the god of knowledge 'Dnyaniyancha Raja'. Kamalesh Phadke was the singer and he was accompanied by Dipesh Dimble on Harmonium and Prasad Joshi on Tabla. It was very pleasing experience to listen to this song in the Voice of Kamalesh. The second song was to elaborate the concept of 'Vedh'. Aarati Kulkarni presented 'KanaDa Vo Vitthalu' in her ever melodeous voice. The third song was an invitation. Invitation in the words of 'Sant Janabai' to the very own 'Vithabai'. Deoras Kaku (Mrs Meera Deoras) presented the song with the true emotions of the 'Janabai'. After the humble call to the 'Vithabai', Kamalesh once again presented another beautiful abhang by 'Sant Ekanath', 'Maze maher pandhari'. As always this was a delightful performance by Kamalesh. Then Smita Gadgil, in her first ever performance, presented the very beautiful 'Keshava Madhava'. It was great to hear Smita on the stage. Then came the 'Naam'. Dipesh Dimble took audience straight to the 'Pandharapur'. He presented 'Avaghe Garaje Pandharapur' in his aggressive style and soothing voice. Dipesh brought forth the real joy of anubhuti. This joy was further elaborated by Swati Auti. She presented 'Anandache Dohi Anand Tarang'. It was another spellbound performance by Swati. Audience was filled with joy and then started the 'Hechi Daan Dega Deva'. This song was a corus by all singers and was a great way to end a divine concert. After the 'Abhangawani', BMMP President, Bhosale Kaka, presented certificates to the participants and a trophy to Dipesh for the great event. Then began the fun part of the program. Devendra Auti and Mahendra Kodilkar conducted a fun game 'Houzie' for the audience. BMMP thanks Devendra and Mahendra for conducting the game with great enthusiasm and energy. Then delicious food was served. The food was arranged by Devendra Auti, Smita Gadgil and Asmita Kulkarni. BMMP thanks to all the participants for the divine experience and all the support team for the great support. BMMP also likes to thank the Audience for patronage and support. Special thanks to Mr Santosh Borse for availing donations to the BMMPeoria. Nikhil
