Politics, Travel, Crafts, Investments, and Other Random Topics

I am a retired professor of  biology and college dean

I've always been interested in politics and investments and I love to travel but haven't as much as I would like.

When I retired 1o years ago, a friend encouraged me to do something he had been doing for a long time - making picture frames and mirrors using white birch bark.  He was selling his things in the Adirondack Mts. and I had just moved to a log home in New Hampshire.  So, he taught me his craft and I began to make some things that, to my surprise, I was able to sell in NH.

Recently, my youngestdaughter suggested that, since I like being on the computer, I might like to do some blogging.   So I am learning about it and find that there is a vast world of blogging out there.

I began with some of the things I know best:   politics, investments, and travel.  Stay tuned for future blogs on these and other topics and growth in my knowledge of this crazy, fascinating world.
