- Akismet - Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not.
- Contact Form 7 - Just another contact form plugin. Simple but flexible.
- Google XML Sitemaps - This plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com to better index your blog.
- Maintenance Mode - Adds a splash page to your blog that lets visitors know your blog is down for maintenance. Logged in administrators get full access to the blog including the front-end.
- Viper's Video Quicktags - Easily embed videos from various video websites such as YouTube, DailyMotion, and Vimeo into your posts.
- WP to Twitter - Updates Twitter when you create a new blog post or add to your blogroll using Cli.gs. With a Cli.gs API key, creates a clig in your Cli.gs account with the name of your post as the title.
- WPtouch iPhone Theme - A plugin which formats your site with a mobile theme for the Apple iPhone / iPod touch, Google Android and other touch-based smartphones.
Not Currently Using (because they are integrated into my current theme)
- FD Feedburner - Redirects the main feed and optionally the comments feed to Feedburner.com. It
does this seamlessly without the need to modify templates, setup new hidden
feeds, modify .htaccess files, or asking users to migrate to a new feed. All
existing feeds simply become Feedburner feeds seamlessly and transparently for
all users. Just tell the plugin what your Feedburner feed URL is and you're
done.
- Google Analyticator - Adds the necessary JavaScript code to enable Google's Analytics. After enabling this plugin visit the settings page and enter your Google Analytics' UID and enable logging.
Video Tutorials Equipment
- I absolutely love DropBox. It's FREE and once I installed it on all the computers I work on, it creates a folder "in the cloud." Anything I save into that folder is automatically saved "in the cloud" and updated on all the other computers. It is really, really helpful!
