My afternoon project

I am going to a Jimmy Buffett concert on Tuesday. Me and my homies always dress to impress - more like dress like baffoons with lots of gaudy hawaiian stuff - every year when we go. I felt I needed something new and fun to wear this year. So, I embellished a polo shirt with fun hawaiian print fabric, a parrot that I embroidered, a couple of flip-flop buttons (hard to see in the pick) and parts from a Margaritaville tee that I have had a couple of years (and acidentally shrunk a while back). The best part - the word "Jimmy" on the popped collar. Come on Tuesday so I only have to work a half day and then can get wasted away again in Margaritaville (aka the parking lot of Verizon Wireless Music Center).

These were WELCOME BAGS for all of our out of town guests... Inside was: A welcome note from us, the weekend itinerary, maps of the local sights along with suggestions of fun things to do in the area, bottled water, gum, sunscreen, snacks, a handmade "do not disturb" sign for their hotel door and embellished flip-flops that I made myself. These were a HUGE hit, and I still get compliments on them all these years later!!
