Went to the opticians today, and for the first time in about 10 years, tried contact lenses. I was told a while back I couldn't wear them, but apparently my eyes have changed to the extent that I now can. The reason I look grumpy in this photo is because this was the eighth attempt at taken my photo with the iPhone. Must upgrade soon.

trying to get back in to contact lenses again (part of the 'sod it! new me' project this year - you know the "deaf in one ear - check, new hairstyle - check, updated wardrobe - check" thing that 40 year olds put themselves thru every so often) these ones are actually quite comfortable but today they fought back
