John Monds will have a major impact on the Governors race in Georgia in 2010. It is difficult to forecast the results of an election that is 545 days away, but over here in Libertarian land we are quite pleased with the efforts that are coalescing around our candidate. He's already getting TV interviews, radio interviews and has a fledgling internet campaign underway on Facebook, Meetup and other social media. The guy even tweets. Scuttlebutt around the water cooler at the secret underground Libertarian Command Center (LCC) is that Nathan Deal will more than likely be the winner of the upcoming republican bloodbath, er, primary. While the Democratic side of the equation is quite a bit murkier, the consensus of opinion at the moment is that Thurbert Baker's attempt is doomed, the other contenders will split the Democratic party asunder during their version of the republican's Gottdammerung primary and King Roy will then be asked to step in, restore order to the land and lead the democrats to victory in the fall. That's the way we want to see it play. Our candidate, John Monds, the only proponent of change in the whole damn affair, up against a crusty old Republican Mossback and equally crusty Democratic mossback who couldn't even defend his seat against Sonny Purdue. Sonny Purdue for Christ's Sake! Will we be out gunned? Yes. Will we be underfunded? Yes. Will we produce slick, focus group driven, political consultin', best of brand tripe recycled from 2008? Nope. We will speak our minds. We will continue to seek more freedom, lower taxes and smaller government. And we ask you to join with us, Vote John Monds for Governor in 2010. |
