At LibertyLand we're always trying to figure out ways to make the Gunshop and Indoor Range concept work better for it's members. If I had a nickel for every time I heard a customer say that if his wife finds out he bought another gun, well, I'd have a bunch of nickles. The solution to this problem is obvious, there should be affordable locker space available at your range to provide you a secure spot to hide your latest treasure until you figure out how to break the news to the wife. Most spouses are only aware of the numbers of firearms you might have, not their particular model numbers or serial numbers, so if you find a killer deal on a gun you've been looking for, the Secure Onsite Storage Space (SOSS) at the Libertyland complex would be an ideal solution until you can move one of your other pieces and open up some room in your home gun safe.
Other individuals might find that storing thier personal firearms at Libertyland is a lot less stressful than having them at thier residences. Especially if you're the kind of guy that does not own a gunsafe. That's a lot of inventory value sitting around waiting for a burgler. In addition, having a locker at the range is a convient excuse to drop by and see how your toys are doing. So, what would the SOSS look like? Here's an extreme example, never say never, but unlikely. Our first attempt will involve a 20 foot shipping container rigged with heavy duty lockers to provide storage for say a dozen long guns and an equal number of handguns per locker. Each 20 foot container should be able to hold 40 individual lockers. The vault containers will be located adjacent to the shooting containers at the back end of the shop. Everything is inside the LibertyLand complex and protected by a dizzying array of security systems and old fat white guys with large guns and loud, scary dogs. Like everything else at LibertyLand, if we fill one up, we'll get more. If you like the idea of SOSS, then check out our proposed LibertyLand rental gun program! |
