Rena Ravi was born at Pariyaram in Thiruvananthapuram district in Kerala as the youngest son of Mr.G.Raveendran and Mrs.V.A.Nalinakumari. He completed his schooling at Nedumangad, while he finished his higher school studies at Poovathoor (Kerala's first computerized school). Later he studied Philosophy at University College Thiruvananthapuram.
