How to add the Blogamundo Link to Your Blog

posted Oct 27, 2008 2:26 PM by DTLC Blogamundo   [ updated Oct 27, 2008 2:28 PM ]

We are doing a little technology lesson today. I sent you another mail with the Blogamundo Homepage address.

1. Open up your Blogger account
2. From your Dashboard, go to the Layout section
3. Click on Add a Gadget on the sidebar.
4. Scroll down the list until you reach Link List and then click to add it.
5. Fill in the Title at the top as Blogamundo Homepage
6. Open up a new window with your Gmail account (or keep this one open after reading this)
7. Copy the Blogamundo Address from my e-mail and paste it into the URL line (make sure you don't end up with two http://'s) If you don't have the e-mail, the link is http://sites.google.com/site/blogamundoproject/Home
8. Fill in the last line as Blogamundo
9. You don't need to worry about the number to show in list or how to sort because you are only going to have one link in this section.
10. Click Save at the bottom of the pop up window. Then click save at the top of your layout window.
11. View Blog to make sure the link shows up.

After you have gotten it linked, click the Blogamundo link and look around the site. We will be using this site to link to other students' blogs.

1. On the right hand side under Our Blogs, click on another student's name to see their blog. You can look around at a few if you want.
2. Read at least one post from another student.
3. Click on the Comments at the bottom of their post to add your comment.
4. Write a comment (kind and school-appropriate comments, of course!) and then don't forget to write in the letters at the bottom of the screen and post your comment. It will give you options as how to post it. Leave it marked Google/Blogger.

After you have added a comment to one of your classmates blogs, you are done with this assignment. We will be using this later to give feedback on each other's writing, so I just want you to get used to it.
