A new champion is born

THE LONDON 2006 PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP

The Final

 FT

K Brown (Arsenal) 4 - 1 (Everton) L Ford

On the evening of the 24th of November a new giant of the game emerged. His name... Kevin Brown.

He came through the group stages and managed to beat Steve McKenna (the 2005 runner up) in the semis. He then went on to face L Ford in the final. It was not without controversy though with the semi final game against S McKenna being started again due to a technical error on their part.

Although some argue that the score line flattered Brown no one can deny that his chip against S McKenna in the semis was a highlight of the night. L Ford after playing so well though out did not perform at the highest level. Some would say that the atmosphere got to him but after reviewing the interviews we at the PESC would say that he was too sure of himself and did not pay enough attention to the threat of k Brown.

A huge well done to them and all the contestants. A great first outing for S Charbit, K Bloomfield, Viet and Donny who all played very well and done their reputations justice.

Unlucky to two of the favorates J Kirton and J Kinloch who did not even manage to get through the groups. Both just missed out by the smallest of margins. Needless to say both were gutted.

So we have a new champion, new runner up and still not closer to seeing who will be the first to win the trophy 3 times to take it home with them for good.

Thanks to everyone for a great night.....See you all next time!
