In nature some species are meant to eventually be extinct, Global warming is something that happens to. But naturally this gradually happens, species become extinct over periods of time, and global warming is suppose to happen very slowly. The species of this planet usually evolve to these situations given time. But human activates are increasing the speed of this process, therefore, not giving species time to evolve. One of the most shameful and inhumane aspects of endangering animals is in the fur trade aswell, especially in China. With the human population increasing at the rate of one million more people every six days, more and more animal species are being extinct.
Here's some factual figures.
The 17th Century
By the middle of the century there were about 450 million humans on earth and 7 animal species became Extinct.
The 18th Century
550 million humans on earth and 11 more species became extinct by the middle of the century.
The 19th century
By 1850 the human population had increased to 900 million and 27 species was lost.
The 20/21st century
To date there are just over 6000 million people on earth. So far we have lost 68 animal species.
