2011-05-08 - wine glasses!
today when i went shopping, i bought a set of 4 wine glasses for ten dollars. i mean, they aren't crystal or anything, but i'd probably break expensive ones. and these can go into the dishwasher. not that i plan to use the dishwasher that much, but whatever. the wine you see here is moscato d'asti, which i really love, despite it being sort of a ridiculous dessert wine conjuring up images of silly glitz novels from the eighties. i did laundry today, too; it cost me $7 to run two loads of laundry. i'm thinking that i may invest in a drying rack -- there's no cause for me to be paying $1.75 per load to dry a bunch of underpants and socks and a couple of pairs of pajama pants. i mean, even most of my shirts are thin and jersey knit and would dry relatively quickly on a rack.
PJ set
I used a set of Nick & Nora monkey jersey sheets that I got on sale at Target a while back as fabric from which to make some pajamas. Here is the first set done. I used #34 from the 1/2010 Ottobre, "Flower Fields" tunic top in size 128, and left off the elastic at the bottom hem. The leggings were from the 1/2009 issue, #32, also in 128 cm. Other than leaving the elastic off the hem of the tunic top, I made no adjustments.
