This is the type of research we are interested in. These posters were made for our exhibit at the Royal Society 2009 Summer Science Exhibition.

Take part in a study
We are interested in hearing from people aged 7
to 45 years who would like to take part in our research.
We have an ongoing programme of research with many
different projects investigating how different brain functions develop from
childhood to adulthood. This research is led by Professor Sarah-Jayne
Blakemore.
This work helps us to understand better how the brain matures and
how different cognitive functions develop at different ages (click here for more information). Most of the
projects involve paper and pencil or computer tasks, games and stories, and we
also run brain-imaging studies. Most projects take place
at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, Queen Square, London (map), in central London, although we
sometimes visit people at their homes or schools.
We also run brain imaging (MRI) studies (click here for more information on MRI). These usually take place at the Birkbeck-UCL Centre for Neuroimaging, Bedford Way, London (map).
Your personal information will be stored securely and kept
confidential. You are
free to withdraw from our research at any time.
We are flexible about the time of appointments and can see people over
more than one session if necessary. Your
travel expenses will be reimbursed.
If you are interested in taking part or would like further
information about our research, please contact our group by email: teenagemri@gmail.com, or Dr. Iroise Dumontheil or Emma Kilford (020 7679 1168).
