Graduate student applications Prospective students who would like to carry out a PhD in the Blakemore group should get in touch well in advance of funding application deadlines, which tend to be in the December/January. Possible sources of PhD funding with approx. annual deadlines: There are a small number of PhD studentships available from the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience. Deadline late January. The Wellcome Trust Four Year PhD Programme in Neuroscience at UCL is a four year PhD programme in which you spend one year taking courses in neuroscience and doing three projects in different neuroscience labs at UCL. Deadline early January. The new UCL-NIMH four year Doctoral Training Programme in Neuroscience provides the opportunity for students to conduct research for their PhD in neuroscience in laboratories at both UCL and the NIH. You can apply to do your PhD jointly in the Blakemore and Giedd labs. Deadline late January. The MRC Doctoral Training programme at UCL Deadline late December. Post-doctoral applications If
you are interested in joining the group as a post-doc you should
contact Sarah-Jayne Blakemore at least one year in advance of the planned start date. There are several
possible sources of funding for which you can apply to do post-doctoral research,
most of which have deadlines of up to one year in advance of starting
