Prospective students who would like to carry out a project or a PhD in the Blakemore group should get in touch well in advance of the start of the project.

There are various potential sources of funding for a PhD:

1. There are a small number of PhD studentships available from the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience.

2.The Wellcome Trust Four Year PhD Programme in Neuroscience at UCL is a four year PhD programme in which you spend one year taking courses in neuroscience and doing three projects in different neuroscience labs at UCL.

3. The new UCL-NIMH four year Doctoral Training Programme in Neuroscience provides the opportunity for students to conduct research for their PhD in neuroscience in laboratories at both UCL and the NIH. You can apply to do your PhD jointly in the Blakemore and Giedd labs.

4. The MRC Doctoral Training programme at UCL.

If you are interested in joining the group as a post-doc you should contact Sarah-Jayne Blakemore well in advance. There are several possible sources of funding for which you can apply to do post-doctoral research, most of which have deadlines of up to one year in advance of starting the project.
