If you're interested in Kenyon, you should really come to see us.
Take a tour. Go to classes. Meet students and professors. Chat over a
bowl of soup or a cup of coffee. We're a small, friendly community,
where people will be happy to answer your questions, help you get
around, or share their own personal list of favorite spots on this
singular hilltop in the middle of Ohio.
The admissions office conducts tours and interviews throughout the year, and offers opportunities for overnight stays as well. You may want to take advantage of one of our special admissions events. Getting to campus is easy, and there's a wide choice of places to stay and eat nearby. Once you're here, use our campus map to guide your steps. Or just stroll: the Kenyon campus is one of the most beautiful in the country. |

The Explore Bowdoin program offers high-achieving students from
diverse backgrounds the opportunity to visit the Bowdoin campus. Because
we understand that traveling may pose a significant financial burden
for many families, the College covers the entire cost of the trip,
including all transportation and meals.
There are two program dates available: September 22 and November 3.
For both programs, students spend Thursday to Sunday on the Bowdoin
College campus. The deadlines for the the program applications are
August 26 and September 30 respectively. Participants stay with current
students in campus housing, attend classes, receive personal admissions
interviews, and attend information sessions on admissions and financial
aid.
To apply, complete the application at the link below. Please make
sure to indicate your date preference. While we cannot guarantee each
applicant her/his first choice of dates, we will make every effort to
accommodate your preference. If you have any questions about the program
call Pat Folger at (207) 725-3878. |

Dear Students,
We
would like to draw your attention to two fall hosting programs sponsored
by the College of Engineering at Cornell University – Fall Diversity Hosting Weekend (Fall DHW) and the Women in Engineering Program (WIE Program). Both programs will take place September 29 – October 1, 2011 and will provide you with an insider’s view into life as a Cornell Engineer.
Fall
DHW is a co-ed program that focuses on students that identify with
backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in engineering (African
American/Black, Latino/a, and Native American), while the focus of the
WIE Program is the experience of all women engineers at Cornell.
Students selected for either program will have the opportunity to stay
in a residence hall with a current student; learn details about the
admission process; participate in interactive lab demonstrations;
interact with faculty, staff, and students; and engage with members of
several of our award-winning engineering student organizations.
Participation in one of these programs is a great way for your students
to learn more about what Cornell has to offer the aspiring engineer!
So
who are the students selected to participate in these hosting programs?
That is where we require your assistance in identifying prospective
participants for Fall DHW and the WIE Program. Below are the program
websites where you will find the online applications and other
details about these programs.
Selection
for Fall DHW and the WIE Program will take place over the summer and
will be based upon each student’s academic background and success,
extracurricular interests and involvement, and other characteristics
helping to identify the program applicants as potential matches for
Cornell Engineering. Since
space is limited for both programs, it is important for students to
submit their online applications and other application materials (high
school transcript & high school profile) by Monday, August 29, 2011 so they receive full consideration.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact the Engineering Admissions office via email at engr_admissions@cornell.edu and include “Fall Hosting” in the subject heading or call us at (607) 255-5008. For more information please visit their web site: http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/diversity/events/DHW.cfm Please email Mr. EJ if you are interested in this opportunity, because the deadline is Monday!!!!
