Also a very important part for your KITT conversion!
The Trans am aluminium turbine rims with the bowlingball hubcaps. 15" Getting more and more harder to find because all those crazy people building KITT conversions. Pffff, get a life !! :P
Anyway....there is always a set to find on ebay. But lookout for the prices! They are simply ridiculous! A set of 4 rims will set you back atleast 1000 bucks, if not more. Then you also gotta think about the shipping cost + customs cost (the real criminals if you ask me!) and then you still gotta find the hubcaps. Not to mention that those will also set you back around 450 dollars for a original set of bowlingball hubcaps. There are also nice fiberglas copy`s around. Saw different prices....but they go out for around 150 - 200 dollars.
Also the price depends on what condition the rims are. Good advice, buy a set thats already professionally sandblasted and powdercoated/ painted. Will save you time and maby in the end a couple bucks.
If you dont wanna pay that much for the `15" inch` rims....then you can always go for a nice set of 14" inch. They are alot cheaper then the 15" versions. I`ve seen nice repainted sets go out for 450 dollars.
Just make sure you throw on decent tires...or it just wont look right on your car.
My rims are powdercoated and have a nice chrome rim. Dont ask how much I payed for them..LOL. But really pleased with them. Oh..and ofcourse 15". My first conversion had 14" on them...but wasnt really happy with the size.
I went for the fiber hubcaps. Made a nice deal with Anthony, who had a set. Saved me around 230 buck. And must say...you can`t tell that their copy`s. They are now getting painted. Cant wait to see how they come out!
