“Shear Perfection” Created and Worn by Kay Bayer
“Shear Perfection” Created and Worn by Kay Bayer
This ensemble is constructed out of found, sheer curtain fabric. And what was yesterday’s discarded bed sheet is now the brilliant, red material that complements the dress – as well as the gloves, made from used dryer sheets. Atop her head jauntily sits a hat made from the aforementioned, discarded linens, as well as the canvas interfacing from the drapes. Let’s hope these filthy curtains don’t match the carpet. The dress features the recycle logo, fashioned out of the bottle caps from beverages enjoyed backstage at last year’s Junk to Funk competition: proof that it’s “CURTAIN-ly” the most waste-conscious piece in the show.

Yep, floating. I have a ton of photos I need to upload. I went on many adventures for the past few days. Expect to be rained with photos tomorrow and Monday.
