Are you in a position to assist Blackstrap Youth Camp?

Thank you for sending your child to Blackstrap Youth Camp. We will work hard to ensure he or she has a memorable, positive camp experience.

Blackstrap Youth Camp facilities were first established in the late 1960s. That means the Camp has been in operation for over 40 years. Our corporate name is Saskatoon Youth Development Complex Inc. SYDC is a registered charitable corporation.

In the past, the Camp has been funded by various sources under the umbrella of the Knights of Columbus. The camp fee you pay covers only about 50 percent to 60 percent of the total cost of operating the camp. Our other major source of operating funds is bingo revenue – a source that is declining each year. We therefore need to look elsewhere to ensure the good work of the Camp continues.

As a registered charity, we are able to provide Income Tax receipts for donations to the Camp. Are you in a position to assist? If so, please complete the form here and mail it along with your donation to the address shown at the bottom of the page.

There is another way to assist with our camp. We need volunteers to do maintenance and repair work in the spring and in the fall. If you can spare a day or two to help, call us at 934-1838 and leave your name and phone number.
