Shift Register D Flip Flop
shift register
- a series of memory locations in a digital equalizer that store a number representing an audio signal.
- In digital circuits, a shift register is a cascade of flip flops, sharing the same clock, which has the output of any one but the last flip-flop connected to the "data" input of the next one in the chain, resulting in a circuit that shifts by one position the one-dimensional "bit array" stored
- (computer science) register in which all bits can be shifted one or more positions to the left or to the right
- A register that is designed to allow the bits of its contents to be moved to left or right
flip flop
- A backward handspring
- An abrupt reversal of policy
- interchange: reverse (a direction, attitude, or course of action)
- reversal: a decision to reverse an earlier decision
- a backless sandal held to the foot by a thong between the big toe and the second toe
- A light sandal, typically of plastic or rubber, with a thong between the big and second toe
40(1|6)6 Bilateral Switch / 595 Shift Register Prototype IC Layout for PSR-6 Automated Data Connection Patchbay
Shift registers are on the right side (and one in the column second from the right at the bottom), the rest are 4016 or 4066 quad bilateral switches (thanks, Fairchild!). The LEDs, capacitor, and ICs in the lower left are unrelated. Breadboard donated by Nick Ruest.
Dixon Analog Shift Register 001
David Dixon designed a very nice fully featured implementation of an Analog Shift Register, based on the one by Ken Stone of Cat Girl Synth. He was kind enough to etch a pair of pcbs for me, and this is one of them.
