Shopping For a Groom
Shopping For a Groom is a 52,000 word Christian romantic comedy. Marta had always heard that it's as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor man. That philosphy worked for her. Having grown up poor in a series of foster homes, she set out to create a life of comfort and respect. And what better way, but to snag a rich husband. However, Marta didn't count on her best friend's brother to throw up roadblocks to her well crafted plan. Despite this, she met a man who could fulfill her dreams and it appeared her goal was in sight. When she discovered that God had His own plans for her, she had to make a hard choice. Could she choose between riches of the heart and the riches she'd been seeking?
83% (5) 111|365 Morning guys! Lovely weather we've been having at the moment up here, makes a change from all that rain and gloom! It was about 25 degrees yesterday! Shorts, tshirt and flip flops weather! Lovely... Also very nice skies. Yesterday was quite nice. I've signed up for a project at the uni, for research, about how contact lenses or glasses affect young people from 13-20 so today I had a very thorough eye test/examination which was really interesting as the optician was really friendly and explained everything such as what the machines do etc etc... I then wandered into town, took these photos and sat in the sun doing some sketches! We then had a hall formal in the evening which was nice too! These three shots are the URBIS building near the center of Manchester. Its an entirely glass building which is essentially a museum. It was built about 10 years ago, designed by Ian Simpson and is quite striking! I wanted to just upload one photo but really couldn't decide hence the triptych! I also converted them to mono but Scott said yesterday that it was nice to see some colour on my stream so I thought I'd upload the colour versions. These are SOOC apart from rotating and compiling them! Lovely weather indeed! 9-5 Lectures today! Wish me luck... Hit 'L' 32/365 : Self Portrait
It's the beginning of a new month and it's time for a new self portrait to start off the month. I definetly feel much better than I did a month ago. Sleeping is not overrated. I love it and need it. I have two personal goals this month. Daily meal planning and anger control. Julien officially went back to work today so I am in charge of picking up Max from the creche, making dinner and doing the night routine. My goal is to have dinner made before he gets home so that evening routine goes smoothly. And to do that I must shop well and prepare my weekly list in advance. Anger control. I am generally not an angry person. But when you wake me up, I can be pretty scary. It's something I want to work on. Also, I find that my fuse is quite short sometimes when I'm taking care of both kids by myself. And I catch myself feeling very angry for things that don't warrant this emotion. I've been reading Buddhism for Mothers and I am learning to see and register things differently. It's an amazing read and I hope to get through the rest of the book this month. shopping for contact lenses What to wear, how to buy, where and when to spend: These are the topics covered each month by the exceedingly plugged-in staff of Lucky, whose circulation rocketed from 500,000 to 800,000 in just two short years.
