Vi 01
Vi 01
I've only ever worked with models on one occasion, and I must admit, I was terribly unprepared, embarrassingly unexperienced, I basically had no idea what the hell I was doing. I'm MUCH better at walking around the streets or going along a river in a boat and taking live, candid shots of what I see. Anyhow, this day I got a couple of models, there were two of them, Vi and M?. I only got a few shots that I thought were worth even looking at twice, and they were all of Vi. Vi was much more indulgent of my obvious lack of organization and self-confidence that day, and M? wore these colored contact lenses that made her look funky. Vietnamese girls shouldn't have blue eyes... Anyhow, this one is by far my favorite shot from the day. My composition could have been better for a couple of reasons, but the light and color came out very much to my liking, and Vi looks absolutely beautiful. Hope you all like these shots, and don't laugh at me too much, okay? At least I tried...
High Wire Act
High Wire Act
Well it wasn't exactly a HIGH wire... rather low, actually. He did seem to be posing for me, though. (Note to friends - I've been having trouble with my film photos lately - hated them all. They kept coming out blurry and out of focus. I tried changing lenses, camera bodies; blaming my developing etc... and nothing seemed to work. I could not figure out why it was happening now when it had not in the past. I finally realized that it was my new contact lenses. I can't see to focus properly! Well, the new ones are on the way so I hope to be able to shoot more film again... images that I actually like! Till then - it's me and my D'Image!)
