A public forum to showcase the photography works of Adam D Slack
Hello My name is Adam Slack and I got into amateur photography in 2004 when my first digital camera was given to me as a gift. I had taken one really good picture with a film point and shoot but those are one in a million. That one picture was of a sunrise and when I got the digital I wanted to start taking pictures in an effort to achieve that same picture once again. To this day I have not seen a sky that was on fire as I did that day with my little film P&S. I used my first digial camera for three years and it still works great. My first digital camera was a Canon S1IS which is a 3.2 MP camera.
In the summer of 2007 my parents gave me a digital SLR camera as a graduation gift. The SLR is a Canon Rebel XTi, which is a 10.1 MP camera. Since I got the SLR I have taken 3400 pictures. Some have been amazing and others were just for learning purposes. I enrolled myself in a Nature and Landscape Photography course at Georgian College in the fall of '07. I completed the course and learned invaluble lessons about technique while taking pictures. Since that course I have expanded my horizons and I have been taking pictures of more than sunsets and sunrises, which are still my favorite to shoot.
