Retirement: That's when you return from work
one day and say, "Hi, Honey, I'm home - forever." - Gene Perret
Dear Friends,
After 43 years of
working (5 of the best years with the Better Business Bureau), I have decided
to roll the credits, take my bow and depart with pride of my accomplishments.
I will be retiring
May 31, 2012 with plans to join my husband, Dan Pasacreta, on some raucous
journeys. We have three lovely little granddaughters;
we have our health, a great pair of hiking boots and really nice bicycles!
I would like to
thank all of you for your support over the past 5 years. Despite some economic challenging times we
figured out some positive solutions together. We brought in business education
seminars, networking opportunities, and my personal favourite, the BBB Table
Talk – a meeting where businesses could share ideas on best-practices.
Over the course of
my time at the BBB I have seen a lot of personal and professional growth of my
staff here. Last year, our success together culminated in the Best Place to Work
for in BC – Non Profit Sector Award which shows how your BBB staff love what
they do and what the BBB represents. Our customer service commitment is further
reflected in the renewals of our Accredited Businesses. Thank you for
continuing to be a part of the BBB and the services it provides the public. I
was overwhelmed with the generosity and the passion to help each other that was
demonstrated by many of you through our time together!
I wish you all much
success and I think you will be in good hands with Danielle Primrose as the new
President and CEO. I know I will see
many of you as we have developed wonderful friendships through our careers. Please follow along with me in my blog as I
figure out this retirement game – www.livingwithlesscheese.blogspot.com.
Sincerely,
Lynda Pasacreta
