FOR PIT-BULL RELATED LINKS & INFORMATION VISIT ANIMALS SPEAK FORUM OR YOU COULD JOIN THE PIT BULL-L LIST OUR BEAUTIFUL BABY BOY LAID TO REST IN THE YARD HE LOVED SO MUCH May 23rd, 2006 ABOUT BITSY His
Mom rejected him as the runt of the litter and he also died in my hand,
but between my neighbor and myself, we managed to bring him back. She
handed him to me and said, here take him, Pam and save his life. Rick
and I did just that. We bottle fed him from that day on along with
helping to feed a few of his 12 siblings from time to time. Bitsy
wore diapers and although he was potty trained in short time, he would
have to wear pants for the rest of his life because he dribbled
whenever he played in the house and left some discoloring on my carpets
here and there, so that is how we solved that. He did not mind !~ He
was prone to injuries...and a bundle of high energy..........which is
not a good combination. He did zoomies in the yard and house all the
time, banging into walls and furniture and falling off the bed (or
missing it entirely). I still don't know how he missed killing himself
racing up and down the deck stairs. He did manage to break his leg once
and we never knew about it until I had him at his Orthopedic on another
issue and I decided to have *all* his legs X-rays, just so we would
have a comparison. That was when we discovered it has been broken !
<sigh> Taking
care of Bitsy was what I did, faithfully exercising him once or twice a
day for 30 minutes or so each time.....in the yard or in the house,
until it became clear that this had to begin to change due to his
constant injuries. Bitsy was with us until May 23, 2006 at which time we spent a wonderful last day with him and then we took him to say goodbye. His grave and memorial pages can be seen, along with his story........all here
After he was gone.............I went into deep mourning and during
that time, I could not look at the more than 250 photos we took, of
his last day with us......until last month. I now have all his last
day photos up on the site. I had a hard time getting myself to look
at the last two sets! But I was finally able to in 2008. NOTE: I will be adding a lot of information to this site about our wonderful Baby! I also have all sorts of medical information on him I want to post here. The links to the left are only the beginning of what will be here on this site. I am also working on our other sites at the same time and moving them from Homestead, so it may be awhile, so keep checking back :) |
