Are you ready to start an exciting new year?  5th grade has many wonderful things in store for you.  This web page will be a great place for us to keep in touch.

                                      Introducing....                      5th GradeTeacher,
Mrs. Sheri Hayes

Hello! I'm very excited to start a new year with you!  I have been a 5th grade teacher for 18 years.  This will be my 10th year teaching at Bishop Elementary School.

My favorite grade, obviously, is 5th grade.  I find that the  students are kind-hearted and good-humored.   I don't really have a favorite subject.  Everything taught in the school day is great fun, so I would have a hard time choosing just one subject to teach.

I am married to a great guy, and we have four children ranging in ages from 10 - 26.  My three younger children attend school in BCISD.

Come by for a visit!  Parents are always welcome!

5th Grade School Supplies List

Please do not purchase large notebooks and/or art boxes.  Only purchase the items on the school supplies list.  All extras will be sent home.  Our school desks are simply too small for unnecessary items.  If your child has allergies, please consider sending a few extra boxes of tissues during the school year.   Our school has adopted a new policy on backpacks.  We will only allow clear/mesh bags in the building.  Please consider this when making your purchases for the 2008-2009 school year.
