    that gives you a safe and secure environment where you are supported and respected and cared for in a warm and homelike setting.  You will have the opportunity to eat and drink as you need.  The Birth Center welcomes your children and family so you can decide who will be with you as you give birth.

    working together to respond to your needs during your pregnancy, birth and early parenting.  It is for healthy women seeking to be in charge of their birth experience.  A birth center is run by a team of highly qualified professionals from nursing, midwifery, obstetrics, family medicine, pediatrics, nutrition, childbirth and parenting education.  Although emergencies in the center are rare, if it becomes necessary for you to be referred for care in the hospital, we are trained and equipped to begin treatment and to transport you or your baby safely to the hospital.  We stay with you in the hospital as long as possible.  In many cases you can return to our Birth Center for care after your delivery.
