Valuable human resources are lost when ongoing, unresolving interpersonal or interdepartmental conflict drains time and energy from an organization. Oftentimes just the word conflict evokes a “run for cover” response. But, with this training, the picture of conflict starts to look more like potential for welcome change. 

 

Participants find attitudes shift more readily and without drama as conversations move towards exploring solutions. Teams find that, in fact, every conflict can be productive. Directly confronting conflict can actually energize a department. This happens when members are aware of their varying conflict management approaches and how they impact the collaborative problem solving process. Participants in "Conflict Reframing" are given the opportunity to identify their usual approach and response to conflict. We then work with participants to develop practical strategies, confidence, and a positive outlook for making conflicts productive.
