How are the structures and functions of plants essential to life on Earth?
Plants lives revolve around the need for sunlight, water, minerals and the exchange of gases. Structures, such as, flowers, roots, and leaves have specialized functions to provide the substances needed by plants to survive. In this unit we will explore the biodiversity of plants and discover why mosses, ferns, pine trees and flowering plants are placed in different groups. We will also investigate how the structures and functions of plants relate to a healthy, balanced ecosystem. Plants will grow on you!!
