The objectives of the chemistry of life unit in biology are to :
- understand that food contains the four basic carbon compounds that make up living things.
- identify and distinguish between the four major compounds of living things: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids.
- analyze the effects of temperature and Ph on enzyme(proteins )activity.
