VBL Therapeutics has developed a series of proprietary phospholipids analogs, the Lecinoxoid family, that are rationally designed as orally available, safe anti-inflammatory medicines. These medicines address the substantial unmet needs in immuno-inflammatory diseases, including psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease and atherosclerosis. VB-201, the lead candidate from this program, has entered Phase II clinical trial in patients with psoriasis, and will also be tested in additional indications during 2010.

VBL's second innovative technology, the Vascular Targeting System platform-VTS, enables control of gene expression to areas where angiogenesis takes place, in order to either promote or destroy blood vessel formation. The VTS platform is both tissue and condition specific, allowing for targeted, limited expression to endothelial cells undergoing angiogenesis. Using this technology, VBL developed VB-111 for cancer, and is now entering phase II.
