Modigenetech Ltd develops bio-better, longer-acting versions of protein
drugs that require frequent injections by utilizing CTP technology licensed
from Washington University. Phase I results of the company’s bio-better long
acting human growth hormone (hGH-CTP) show its potential to reduce dosing
frequency from one daily injection to just two monthly injections. Merck & Co., which aquired a
limited license for the CTP technology, recently obtained EU marketing approval
for ELONVA®, a long acting FSH-CTP. Technology CTP is a natural human peptide created during evolution to enhance the longevity of hCG for maintaining pregnancy. It was discovered at Washington University, exclusively licensed to PROLOR for all protein drugs, except for four endocrine proteins licensed to Merck & Co. The technology was proven effective in extending the longevity of FSH, hGH, EPO, IFNβ, and blood coagulation factors VII & IX. IP status: Modigenetech is the exclusive licensee from Washington University to a series of CTP patents that have been issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. In addition, the company has issued its own patents, two of which have already been issued. Seven more are pending for applications covering CTP innovations, configurations, compositions, and methods. Contact Details Exhibition
