Our Activities
Promoting Investments – Hadasit’s key activity, as facilitator and partner, is to seek
life-science investors – private, institutional, and corporate – for innovative biomedical
technologies originating at Hadassah.
Consulting – Tapping into the wealth of knowledge at Hadassah, we also provide
consulting services to entrepreneurs, investors, and life science companies via our
medical and scientific experts from the entire range of therapeutic and diagnostic
specialties.

Contracting Clinical Trials – Over 200 clinical trials were conducted at Hadassah
during 2008 by pharma, device, and biotech companies from across the globe. With a
seasoned clinical staff and a proven track-record, this prestigious teaching hospital set in
a unique clinical arena of 2 academic hospitals with1100 beds and an annual turnover of
100,000 inpatients and 1,000,000 outpatient visits is a frequent choice for companies
seeking the highest standards. Hadasit handles the contractual aspects of all clinical trials
conducted at Hadassah.

Our Resources
The Hadassah Clinical Research Center (HCRC) is a GCP-compliant, 15-bed unit
located in the Hadassah-Hebrew University BioPark, offering pharma, device, and
biotech companies a complete package of services and facilities for conducting Phase I
and II clinical trials. The HCRC is a joint venture of Hadasit and the Clinical
Pharmacology Unit in the Division of Medicine. Prof. Yoseph Caraco, a clinical
pharmacologist with a world-wide reputation in research leads a team consisting of an
additional clinical pharmacologist, research dedicated nurses, study coordinators and a
pharmacist, all trained to conduct research with the highest international standards.
The HCRC is particularly focused on adherence to schedule by expediting patient
enrollment, IRB approval, and the availability of essential clinical experts. This,
combined with an experienced research team, a large and diverse patient pool, access to a
cost-effective GMP facility, and rigorous IRB standards, makes the HCRC an ideal
choice. In addition, pre-clinical, Phase III and Phase IV studies can be conducted at the
various Hadassah facilities.

The Hadassah-Medical Center Hebrew University Biotechnology Park (JBP) is
located in the heart of Ein Kerem Hadassah medical campus in Jerusalem.
The JBP is a state of the art customized facility, tailored to the needs of biotech
companies. Companies will benefit from close proximity to the rich infrastructure and
extensive facilities of the Hebrew University schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy,
nursing and public health, and the Hadassah University Hospital.
This nearness fosters synergistic partnership and meets the needs of early stage
companies, large companies, multi-national life science companies, growing firms, and
the related institutional research facilities, all who share the goal of developing
therapeutic life science technologies. JBP will serve as a catalyst to transform Jerusalem
from a scientific research hub to an economic engine for bioscience technologies.
