The company's BreathID Breath Test System, featuring a point-of-care device and test kits, measures single parts-per-million changes in the ¹²C/¹³C ratio in exhaled breath. Target Areas:

Helicobacter pylori – Exalenz has received FDA clearance to market its ¹³C-urea breath test kits for detecting H. pylori, the bacteria largely responsible for stomach ulcers.

Liver Impairment – Exalenz has completed a multi-center Phase III study to assess liver impairment with its ¹³C - methacetin breath test. The company is conducting additional studies in areas related to liver health.

Additional Applications– Exalenz has performed Phase II and feasibility studies in other medical areas such as NAFLD, Pancreatic Function, and Gastric Emptying using designated ¹³C- substrates.

BreathID's patented technology is based on molecular correlation spectroscopy that measures single parts-per-million changes in the molecular ¹³C/¹²C ratio of a patient’s exhaled breath, continuously, automatically, and in real time.
