The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's Chesapeake Bay Small Watershed Grants Program provides grants to community and citizens' groups for local projects within the Chesapeake Bay watershed to:

·        Improve the quality of the watershed

 

·        Educate the community about the interrelationship between local watersheds and the Bay

 

·        Promote community-based stewardship and enhance local watershed management. 

 

The Binford PTA was one of 68 recipients of a 2006 CBSWGP grant and was selected from hundreds of applicants throughout the multi-state watershed.
