My Phone

My current cell phone is a BlackBerry Pearl 8100 which I got a year ago. Although it may be a little outdated when compared to some new ones, it was one of the best cell phones a couple of years ago. It comes with Quad-Bank GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 1 MP Camera, Camcorder, and Blouetooth. I have used cell phones from a few brands already, including Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, and Siemens. Compared to the phones I used, my 8100 is by far the best. I can check my email right on the stick. With the little thing, I can send pictures by email or picture mail to friends and families, go to websites, text message, play games, watch TV, etc. The phone just has endless things to do. It turns out to be a little palm sized computer.

I am satisfied with the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 and I still have less than a year to finish my current contract with Rogers. After that, I will switch to IPhone 3GS from Apple. I just cannot resist the temptation from IPhone. I have used a couple of MP3 players from Apple. With the IPods, I have had a lot fun, especially with the podcast series. When I have an apple IPhone, my cell phone and the MP3 player will be combined. Currently, the monthly plans for an IPhone are expensive mainly due to the added data plans. The cheapest plan as of right now in Canada is from Virgin Mobile - probably 10 dollars less than other IPhone suppliers, such as Rogers, Fido, Telus, and Bell. Most of the IPhone providers offer options of not sticking to three-year plans.

If the monthly plans for the Apple IPhone 3GS can reduce greatly, I am sure the cellular service providers can attract a lot of customers like me. Although the newest IPhone has already got a lot of good high reputation, I still expect that Apple can come up with new generations of IPhone with more features and applications. As for the service provider, I think I may keep my current phone number and subscribe to Virgin Mobile.
