  • A car seat is the chair used in automobiles. Most car seats are made from cheap, but durable materials, made to withstand as much beating as possible. The material for these seats is usually used for the back of the seat, as well as the part where one's posterior goes.
  • Soup is the second album by the American rock band Blind Melon, released shortly before vocalist Shannon Hoon's fatal drug overdose, making it his final album with the band. Thematically, the album is much darker than the band's multi-platinum debut.

Once upon a time, I lived in my car.
Once upon a time, I lived in my car.
Not this car but another one I once owned. I was living in shared houses renting rooms at the time. These were not really stable living situations. People would move in, stay for a month or several, and then move on. At one house I was living in the landlord made a steep rise in the rent and everyone in the house moved out seeking cheaper lodgings. I had located another house to move into that fell through at the last minute. I was suddenly faced with no place to live. So, I turned to my car, a 1971 Volkswagen Beetle. I removed the passenger seat, laid the backseat down flat, and installed a homemade platform to bridge the gap between the rear seat and the glove compartment. This made a reasonably flat place, more than six feet long, upon which to put a mattress. A trip to a yardage store produced a two-foot by six-foot by four-inch thick block of foam rubber that, with a little trimming to fit the space, made a decent mattress. I cut half-inch thick sheets of foam rubber to cover the windows and cobbled together some makeshift hooks to hold them in place. I put my bedding on the mattress and had a sleeping bag for colder weather. My clean clothes were stored in a laundry basket under the platform. Dirty laundry was stashed in a pillowcase under the platform and the rest of my worldly possessions were kept in a rented mini storage space (including more clean clothes). I ate my meals in restaurants or purchased food, which did not require cooking, from a grocery store. I would take my showers at work or sneak into the gym at a local university. My evenings were often spent at the public library reading. It wasn’t a bad way to live, a bit lonely though. I lived this way for a period of years eventually moving up to a Volkswagen Bus. Ultimately I purchased a condominium using the money I had saved, while living in the car, as a down payment.

recycled plastic shopping bag dispenser: this is a simple way to organize your sacks for easy storage & reuse. The few minutes it takes to do this each time you bring home items is well worth it. You need whatever type of empty tissue box you have.I like the smaller ones. First, straighten your bag out.The neater it is the more you can get in the box. (less air in them) The corners & especially the bag handles need straightend out so it will be somewhat flat. 2nd,fold the bag in 1/2 length way, bottom to top & then in 1/2 the other way. You should have a somewhat neat almost square to work with. 3rd,stuff it into the box. You will have to unneaten it a little to accomplish this.It has to fit in the oval in the top of the box & you have to push it in.The tighter you pack the bags in the more bags will fit.. In the picture, you can see the bag right before the last fold.Notice the corners of the handles (on the upper left) are straightened out--it may not be all that important but thats up to you. The sacks are then not all lumped up in one big bagfull taking up good space, being unsightly,or in the way, they are easily retrieved from the box which stores neatly! I don't like to store bags that are ripped or torn.If they are that bad I pitch them but if they only have a small hole or tear I mend them quickly with a small piece of tape (sometimes several pieces of tape depending on how much time I have) I like to have one under my car seat & on the back porch to dispense as small trashcan liners or other !
