Hop on your bike for a beautiful 10-mile ride through scenic Glen Mills and Westtown to explore three local farms. The Bike Fresh event will include three farm tours, delicious farm fresh food at every stop, and informative presentations from our farmers.

    • Parking and registration is at Pete's Produce Farm, 1225 E. Street Road (Route 926), Westtown, PA 19395. Pete's Produce Farm is a retail farm market and greenhouse, located on 200 acres leased from Westtown School. Pete's opens for business when the first stalks of asparagus poke through in April until the last pumpkins find homes in October.

    • Our first stop is a quick three mile ride to Wild Goose Garden.  These wild geese grow biodynamic vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs on four acres in the heart of Glen Mills. In addition to farming, these geese are innovative inventors, with many projects in full swing, including solar panels, a vegetable oil generator, a greenhouse heated by a woodstove, and a root cellar cooled by a vortex tube.
    • Then we are off for a five-mile jaunt to IMBY Misty Hollow, where Jim and Sally Hammerman grow, gather, and explore nature's bounty for food, flavor, and health. The working-member Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), and hands-on workshops extend the reciprocal relationship of human and earth health to the members. This moves people from being passive to active participants, from the ground up, in the creation of their own body and life.
    • Just a hop, skip, and a jump down the road will bring us back to where we started. We will tour the fields and greenhouses at Pete's Produce, and celebrate the ride with lunch and silkscreening.
