Cheap Batman Toys : New Toys For 2011 : Current Mcdonalds Toys. Cheap Batman Toys
Kotobukiya Batman As usual, I fell in love with this figure late. I do that all the time, hopping onto the boat late so to speak. Kotobukiya released this figure in 2005 and then again in 2007, and I missed both opportunities to get him. So I started my toy hunt for 1 of the 6000 pieces made of this fella. It was difficult. No one was selling him locally and a few eBay auctions for him closed at 90-110 USD, on top of shipping (45USD to SG). I'm not about to lose an arm or leg for him, though I can see why he's so sought after. Then one fine day as I was grouchy over the sad fact that I might not be able to get him, I got a PM on SGC.com with an offer for him. I jumped, literally. When I picked him up I had a good long chat with Robbie the seller. Nice guy, willing to let it go at a sweet (make that diabetically sweet) price too. Makes me wonder who sought who out in this toy hunt. The condition I got him in was C-10 figure in C-8 box (a bit of cleaning restored the box condition to C-9 easy). The seal on the top flap was open, but the figure is still bound to the tray insert. It was likely that it has never been outta the box, seeing that it was dust and wear free. Wasted no time and broke Bats outta his cardboard prison. Boy is he gorgeous, bearing a strong resemblance to Jim Lee's artwork (which is on the box). Stands fine w/o his base too, and looks great beside Koto Cat. He's part of my shift from articulated figures to statues... but I'll likely stop at vinyl ones which are relatively cheaper than polystones... Seriously, nice as Bowen / Sideshow statues are, I've yet to see any piece that warrants such a high price. Kotobukiya 1/6 Vinyl ARTFX Batman Statue is a must get for all Batman fans. Bats is my favourite DC character, and I'm sure he is for many other people. Get him before it's too late! Toy Details
You insert the jet ski into the back of the BatBoat, but the front of the ski pointing out the back of the boat -- it's a loaded spring mechanism. When you load the ski, Batman's head swivels around to look forward, out the front of the boat. Then you press the Batman emblem on the front of the boat to launch the jet ski. It's actually ingenious toy, but must have costed a lot of time & money to design this toy... Why didn't they just do a small "Batman on Jet Ski" LEGO kit? Would have been less to engineer/design & cheaper to put parts into a plastic bag, IMO.
