45/365 birthday morning =]
45/365 birthday morning =]
well it was technically my birthday but all the festivities were over. recap? gear up. i went over to kristin's house around 3:00. i was definitely unhappy. my makeup looked terrible and my face hurt so badly. i was still really sick and everything was dry and cracking and burning. i was in a pretty shitty mood. cassie was over and they were dying their hair. kristin curled my hair and i was immediately in a better mood. she is honestly the best friend a girl could ask for. i truly cherish and love her to pieces. we got in the car to pick up jessica and mindy. we were going to be late so i let my sister know. we met up with my sisters at buca's for a shitty evening at dinner. we sat down and our waitress said "we would really appreciate it if you and your party could be in and out in two hours as we are very busy.". um. are you kidding me. you have immediately done an amazing job ruining this for me. within the next five minutes she asked us if we were ready four times. i finally looked at her and said "you know i think we just need a few minutes." she solidly took the hint and walked away. she proceeded to try to upsell everything, rush as, never smile, spilled water on cassie's chair while she was outside and left without wiping it off (i did), and was completely unattached and cold. i never complain and i didn't, but wow. it was really awful service. we left and went to the liquor store to pick up some pick-me-ups for the long hours inbetween when we would be able to get in to the dance club. we went back to katie's house and , well, i had the best time ever. more than ever, i would rather have spent my birthday just sitting there drinking, being low key, laughing, and learning more about everyone. it's so nice for me to just be able to chill out and enjoy myself. the girls made me some drinks, i opened presents, and then it was eleven! sandra called the cabs and we were off. our cab driver says "why you going to gay club? you girls are full of shit." haha. and kept calling my sister sandra, becky or vicky. or something. we finally got there and i was pretty paranoid because it was only about eleven thirty and was nervous they wouldn't let me in. but dude looked at my i.d. , winked at me, and stamped my hand. the night had begun. i walked in and all my inhibitions flew out the door. i turn around and mindy hands me a shot. "what is this?" "i don't know?!?! happy birthday chocolate cake or something. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!". um. it was delicious. shots and water are definitely my favorite way to drink so far. we danced danced danced the night away. miss jessica is most certainly my favorite dance partner. what a little huss! i had no idea. good god she's a freak, i love her to pieces. she's the one who took me in the cage first and freaked the party, let me tell you. ugh. and i got a shout out from the dj while i was dancing in the cage !! amazing amazing!! kristin roddy is amazing. that girl can dance. i'm so glad so glad to have her. she was so much fun. is always so much fun. and totally laid back about everything. my sisters were a riot. thank you so much victoria for having fun and watching over everything and being a good sport. love you lots. and to sandra katie and venessa for making me laugh all night and partying hard. ah! loved it. we went back to katie's around 2:30 and looked at her pictures on her television, and then kristin drove us home (she wasn't drinking, thanks love). i really wanted to sleep in my own bed and she said she had no problem taking us home. i got home and immediately put pajamas on and went to sleep. no shower. makeup on. no retainers. and about three hours later i was getting blasted by happy birthday texts. no sleep for the birthday girl! but that's okay. i had THE most amazing night of my life. dancing with the gays was more fun than i could have imagined. I LOVE YOU JEREMY. (my purple shirted gay friend i made) he swooped in every time i was getting molested by old creeps. "thanks for letting me dance with you birthday girl". on man! of course!!! best night ever. a night to remember. cannot wait to do it more often =]
Is that all there is?
Is that all there is?
"I remember when I was a very little girl, our house caught on fire. I'll never forget the look on my father's face as he gathered me up in his arms and raced through the burning building out to the pavement. I stood there shivering in my pajamas and watched the whole world go up in flames. And when it was all over I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a fire?" Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing Let's break out the booze and have a ball If that's all there is And when I was 12 years old, my father took me to the circus, the greatest show on earth. There were clowns and elephants and dancing bears And a beautiful lady in pink tights flew high above our heads. And as I sat there watching the marvelous spectacle I had the feeling that something was missing. I don't know what, but when it was over, I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a circus?" Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing Let's break out the booze and have a ball If that's all there is Then I fell in love, with the most wonderful boy in the world. We would take long walks by the river or just sit for hours gazing into each other's eyes. We were so very much in love. Then one day, he went away. And I thought I'd die -- but I didn't. And when I didn't I said to myself, "Is that all there is to love?" Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing I know what you must be saying to yourselves. If that's the way she feels about it why doesn't she just end it all? Oh, no. Not me. I'm in no hurry for that final disappointment. For I know just as well as I'm standing here talking to you, when that final moment comes and I'm breathing my lst breath, I'll be saying to myself, Is that all there is, is that all there is If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing Let's break out the booze and have a ball If that's all there is"
