I really wish this picture did more justice to the amount of soot on this stuff. The insurance guy told me yesterday that it was going to be cheaper for them to pay to replace all my clothes than to clean them. So I have to estimate the value of the clothes that were in the closet. I was thinking, I know I can come up with a dollar figure to replace these items... but there's no replacement value for the memories. There's no replacement value for a piece of clothing that, in a sense, defined who I was for a number of years. Red plaid, jeans, and black Docs were my uniform for years. I really haven't worn them in awhile, because I don't need a certain kind of clothing anymore to define who I am. I am who I am and I wear what's comfortable. I don't have to try to BE anything anymore, or try to prove that I fit in with this group or that one. But I have always hung onto these ... they still gave me a sense of security. Perhaps still a crutch I could always go back to if I needed to. That may sound weird to alot of you... but there's a few of you I know will understand. As for the blue plaid pajama pants.... I'll be getting new ones. Who can beat blue plaid pajama pants? They rock!

39/365 Lazy Sunday Mornings
All I wanted to do this morning was stay in bed. I didn't want to get up. But, 6 snoozes later, I rolled over, grabbed my camera and took this shot. Then I got up so that I could go to church. I'm always glad I decided to wake up and go to church on Sunday mornings, because I love the chance to worship and spend quality time with my church family. But...those first few moments are always hard to not give in to the temptation to sleep in! And heck, I go to the late service, and it's still hard to get outta bed! :)
