FREE FUN for all ages! Bayfest is Brooklyn's biggest waterfront event and NYC's only vendor-free street fair. Now in its 19th year and completely free, Bayfest
is an all-day celebration of Sheepshead Bay, a unique maritime community minutes
from the Atlantic Ocean. Held along our piers, Bayfest offers a
festival of continuous music and fun to bring the community together and raise New Yorkers' awareness of this treasure by the bay. Attractions include: Amusement rides * Face painting * Cartoon characters * Arts 'n' crafts *
FDNY displays on land & sea * Sailing demos * Raffles & giveaways plus LIVE MUSIC all day!
Past years Bayfest has featured great entertainment, like Vince Martell, Atlantic Gold Recording Artist, LI Music Hall of Fame Inductee & Legendary Lead Guitarist of supergroup Vanilla Fudge ("You Keep Me Hangin' On"); Peg Pearl; Greg Bravo of Steam ("Na Na Hey Hey"); Stout; Girls On Top; The Shots; and many others! 2010 promises to be our best year yet! A premier waterfront community less than an hour from New York City, Sheepshead Bay boasts a wealth of recreational, business, and residential experiences. Choose from sailing lessons to boating, scuba diving, swimming, windsurfing, kayaking, and fishing.
