How To make some things work with BifferBoard.


Hardware:
  • Connect to serial console
  • Connect to serial console from Windows
  • Making your own console cable
  • Get 4 extra GPIO pins using the JTAG connector
  • Use serial RX/TX pins as GPIO
  • Power bifferboard from 12VDC battery
  • Use Bifferboard as network audio player
  • Use Bifferboard as Serial to Network adapter
  • Use button to reset bifferboard
  • Power bifferboard and USB hub from one PSU
  • Connect to Internet using a Huawei Mobile Broadband Modem
  • Connect to a Serial GPS Module
  • Install a MicroSD slot in the case

Software:
  • Setting up Qemu for emulating the Bifferboard
  • Get and compile last version of BifferOS
  • Upload new firmware (Flash kernel and upload rootfs)
  • flash RAM from a running OS
  • use bifferboard without serial (programming) cable
  • get files onto the bifferboard
  • Create a kernel image that also contains the root file system
  • Alternative OSes
  • Install opkg files
  • Set correct time
