Northeastern District Association of Quartet Champions
The Northeastern District Association of Quartet Champions, NEDAC, of the Barbershop Harmony Society is the organization of contest winners for the region comprised of New England, Eastern Canada, and Eastern New York.
The Northeastern District (NED) has crowned a quartet champion each year since 1946. Two NED champs have gone on to win the international championship:
Four Statesmen (1964) in 1967,
Boston Common (1971) in 1980.
The Four Rascals (1959) twice won second place international silver medals in 1965 and 1966.
Joe Daniels, lead of the Clip Chords (1958) went on to lead the Sidewinders to international gold in 1964 and
Don Bagley, bass of the B Sharps (1960) won the international championship with The Chiefs of Staff in 1988.
