Northeastern District Association of Quartet Champions

The Northeastern District Association of Quartet Champions,  NEDAC, of the Barbershop Harmony Society is the organization of contest winners for the region comprised of New England, Eastern Canada, and Eastern New York. 

The Northeastern District (NED) has crowned a quartet champion each year since 1946. Two NED champs have gone on to win the international championship:

The Four Rascals (1959) twice won second place international silver medals in 1965 and 1966.

Joe Daniels, lead of the Clip Chords (1958) went on to lead the Sidewinders to international gold in 1964 and

Don Bagley, bass of the B Sharps (1960) won the international championship with The Chiefs of Staff in 1988.

Tribute to The Management

The Management won the BHS Northeastern District Quartet Championship in 1994. At the District Contest in October 2019, The Management had a reunion performance and the Northeastern District Association of Champions featured this video as a tribute to their impact on the district, our society, and the greater music education community.
