Statement of Purpose

Auto II is designed to move students who have successfully completed Auto I into the shop environment, where they can work on shop, personal, and local customer cars to gain hands-on industry experience.  A number of activities related to the various automotive systems are studied to become more familiar with standard shop practices, procedures, and special techniques.

Students will become comfortable with typical mechanics tools and shop equipment, while also applying theory relative to numerous automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.  Careers in the automotive field, necessary requirements, and added benefits will be addressed throughout the class. Also, safety procedures and practices are always of highest priority.
