PEI Language Arts Assessments will be starting next two Wednesdays and Thursdays (May 16, 17, 23, & 24th).  Children will be writing two prompts and reading and answering questions for four stories.

Thank you to Cameron and his family for the recent delicious healthy snack!  The muffins were a hit and everyone liked the crackers, too!

We have finished our research and writing in the library, now everyone is completing the publishing of their hard cover non-fiction descriptive report.  Thank you to all family members who attended our Author Celebration Open House on April 26th. We were very proud to share our published books and other learning then.

On April 30th, Miss Natalie MacDonald will be finished working with our class.  She is a student teacher from  the University of Prince Edward Island who has been with us since Mar. 12th.  We thank her and wish her well in her future career as a teacher.  We also say CONGRATULATIONS as she will be graduating from UPEI in May.  THANKS FROM 3A DREAMERS!

Thank you to Harrison and his family for the recent delicious healthy snack!  The nutritious fruit and veggies certainly helps us to think and learn better!

The seniors at Wedgewood Manor were very pleased to have us visit on Thursday, April 5th.  It was a good chance for us to read and to share with the seniors prior to Easter.

Thank you to Cameron and his family for donating a Ready Freddy novel to our class at the last book fair.  How kind of you!
Welcome to our new student, Sara!  We're so glad you are part of our class!  We hope you come to like Elm Street as much as we do!

Our class recently wrote a persuasive letter to our Minister of Education, Honouarable Allan MacIsaac, asking for a smartboard for our class.  We have also sent the letter to local MLAs Mr. Greenan, Ms. Sherry, Mr. Webster and Mr. Sheridan as well as our Home and School and to the Journal Pioneer.  We hope that this will help our school to receive the necessary money to purchase and install a smartboard so that we can be better learners, have fun and be interactive learners.  A Journal Pioneer reporter visited our class on Jan. 26th and took our photo.  We're online and we were in the newspaper, too!  On Wed., Feb. 8th, we shared our letter with the entire school at an assembly.  The children did an awesome job using the microphone to present their slideshow.

Be sure to read our Upcoming Events link for some important information.  :)
