I received my Ph.D. from Purdue University in Integrative Neuroscience. My home department was Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences.
My research interests include the neural bases of speech perception, learning and neuroplasticity, auditory neurophysiology, auditory processing and learning disorders, second language learning, brainstem and cortical processing of language and music.
Using functional neuoroimaging and auditory evoked potentials, I am interested in examining how the brain represents elements of speech and music, and the extent to which these representations are malleable to experience and training.
