I am working as a Sr. Software Developer on Drupal CMS. As a matter of fact, I'd like to work on my own, so I become a freelancer for part time. Getting involved in something is my hobby, and doing some creative work is my favorite time pass. I am always ready to learn new things and which is why I used to calling my self a life time student.
During my diploma study, I had worked on PC based oscilloscope, which was a big success. I was able to display the oscilloscope output on the computer screen. This was the first project I've ever done. Before this, I was afraid of circuits. I've also worked on software projects as a part of academic syllabus. And I enjoyed them working on. I never give up while am on something. So, I keep my watch away from my desk. I also provide my contribution to community. I'm an actvie member of Drupal community and have been providing help on Drupal forums and documentation.
I'm an active translator of Ubuntu project and have been translating packages to Gujarati language.
Continuing my efforts, I've created the Developer's Network, which is a network of community websites.
They are:
http://drupaldeveloper.in is aimed to provide help to real Drupal developers who develop custom modules and themes. A developer can post his/her code here and can get advise. The code, a developer has posted can be kept private if s/he wishes so. Also, Developers can get review of their code for performance and security. The code which are set to public on the website are available for all under GNU/GPL licence.
http://groups.drupaldeveloper.in offers facility to create groups of people having common interest and common goal. This provides a better way of communication to Developers.
http://blog.drupaldeveloper.in provide helps to WordPress Developers. Developers can learn how to develop custom WordPress plugins and themes/templates. WordPress is the simplest CMS/Blog to understand as well to develop around.
It provides some of the best features to be used in a blog. One can take advantage of WordPress API while developing plugins and themes.
When talking about CMSes, one should not foget talking about Joomla!. Joomla! is one of the few best Open Source CMSes. Developer's Networks is actively contributing in development using Joomla!. Developers can find topics and post on how to develop plug-ins, components and modules which can accommodate some of the features required to setup a store using joomla!
As all these sites need to be kept up-to-date and require resources. I put my own time and money to keep them running and do
not ask for donation in anyway.
But If I don't fetch money, I would no longer able to run them. So, I work as a freelancer after my regular, full-time job and earn some money to put in. Visit http://joshics.in for more information. Visit my wok portfolio for freelancing work. |
